Description
A landmark silent comedy, Our Hospitality finds Buster Keaton at the peak of his inventiveness and charm. Keaton stars as Willie McKay, a young New Yorker who returns to his Southern hometown—unaware that he’s the last of a feuding family. When he falls in love with a local woman (played by Keaton’s real-life wife, Natalie Talmadge), he quickly discovers she’s part of the rival clan determined to end his family line.
Renowned for its elaborate period sets, spectacular stunts, and escalating set-piece gags, Our Hospitality is a masterful blend of romance, satire, and breathtaking physical comedy. The film’s famous train sequence and daring river rescue remain among the most celebrated moments in silent cinema.
