If you have previously completed the Beginner Hiking for Fitness Program, this series is for you. The program leaders will guide you on a series of weekly hikes with the challenge increasing each week. Leaders will have group discussions about gear, hydration, hiking poles, first aid and pacing, etc. The group's final hike aims for Bald Mountain, where hikers can enjoy stunning vistas.
The Hiking series costs $80 (plus a $10 parking fee per visit. Note that Sugarloaf Annual Pass is $49 and valid at Sugarloaf and Jack London SHP), or free-of-cost for hikers with an April 2022 or newer ParkRx from a participating Sonoma County Medical Provider. Click here for ParkRx info.

Hike Schedule
1) Sat 7/9 – Waterfall Loop. 2 miles, 595ft elevation. Meet at main lot.
2) Sat 7/16 – Vista Trail Loop. 3.6 miles, 700ft elevation. Meet at White Barn lot.
3) Sat 7/23 – Goodspeed to Nattkemper bench. 4.2 miles, 1,060ft elevation. Meet at Goodspeed lot.
4) Sat 7/30 – Vista Trail Loop (counter-clockwise). 4.7 miles, 1,000ft elevation. Meet at White Barn lot.
5) Sat 8/6 – McCormick’s Grandmother Oak. 4.5 miles, 1,070ft elevation. Meet at Hood Mountain’s Los Alamos lot.
6) Sat 8/13 – Hillside/Brushy Peaks. Neptune bench. 6 miles, 951ft elevation. Meet at White Barn lot.
7) Sat 8/20 – SDC/ Jack London. 5.6 miles, 1,014ft elevation. Meet at Sonoma Creek bridge on Arnold Dr.
8) Sat 8/27 – Bald Summit (w/optional Headwaters wiggle). 5.8 miles, 1,500 ft elevation. Meet at White Barn lot.
