Parlour Jazz returns for August.
Join us for an intimate live jazz experience hosted in The Parlour, Lynrace Spirit, led by local Jazz Saxophone wizard Ollie Weston. Our doors will open at 7pm, when you’ll enjoy a welcome glass of Prosecco before descending to the Parlour. The bar will be open during the entire evening for you to savour our bespoke cocktails. There will be a break to recharge your glasses, engage with the musicians, and take in the atmosphere.
Lynrace Spirit is a unique cocktail bar in Jericho. Our ethos is founded upon forging connections and inspiring creativity, making it a natural home for live jazz. We will be welcoming a variety of jazz musicians over the coming months who will present a variety of jazz styles in our distinct and exclusive setting. We look forward to welcoming you.

Meet the musicians.

Joy Ellis is a jazz pianist, singer and composer based in London and an alumni of Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Joy has toured all over the UK supported by the Arts Council, England performing her original music at various venues and festivals including Manchester, Cheltenham and London Jazz Festivals and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.
Raph Mizraki | Double Bass
Raph Mizraki’s career has spanned over three decades, during which time he has honed his skills on an extraordinary range of instruments and is now widely regarded as one of the finest jazz bass players in the country. As a long-time member of the house band at renowned Oxford jazz club, the Spin, Raph switches effortlessly between acoustic contrabass and fretted and fretless electric bass guitars. In this role, he has appeared with many internationally acclaimed musicians, including John Etheridge, Chris Garrick, Jonathan Gee and Luis D’Agostino.
Other highlights in a career spanning over three decades include playing percussion for Kaboodie Theatre, Pan Projects and Tara Arts; playing keyboards for Nigerian jazz artist Gasper Lawal and the Oro Band; playing drums for Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band; and playing bass for Hassan Erraji and Arabesque, for Todd Sharpeville and the Blues Barons, and for Jamie Cullum.

Ollie Weston is a varied and active musician across a range of genres and musical styles, and has performed in live and studio sessions as a Saxophonist with artists as diverse as Amy Winehouse, Tim Minchin, Bonobo, Frank Turner, The London Jazz Orchestra, The Hackney Colliery Band, The Ambient Jazz Ensemble and The Nelson Riddle Orchestra. He is the co/leader of the Jazz Quartet ‘Time Is Of The Essence’ and composes and arranges material for this and other ensembles.
