The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
You’ll be filling your kitchen with the aroma of home baking after this course.
Professionally trained pastry chef Charlotte Fuller shares her expertise with you to master the skills of rough puff pastry and hot water crust pastry.
Our menu includes:
- Pasteis de nata – the classic Portuguese custard tart
- Greek Spanakopita triangles
- Perfectly-shaped French Palmiers
- Hand-raised savoury, hot water crust pies – great for a buffet or festive entertaining
You will learn tips, tricks and pitfalls to avoid to ensure you create perfect pastry every time, and how to achieve a professional finish to your bakes.
