Saxophonist/vocalist Paula Atherton will be playing her hits as well as selections from her catalog.  She will be joined by keys, guitar, bass and drums. Get ready to have some fun! New York based sax player/vocalist and songwriter Paula Atherton has shared the stage with such contemporary jazz notables as The Rippingtons,  Nick Colionne,  Chuck Loeb, Cindy Bradley, Brian Simpson, Four80East, David Sanborn, Bob James, Marc Antoine, Hiroshima, Gerald Albright and Chieli Minucci.  Paula has also worked in the traditional jazz field; one of the notable performances being a week long engagement at the Blue Note NYC with pianist and jazz legend, Hank Jones. Paula also performed with Grammy award winning singer Dee Dee Bridgewater at the Annenberg Theater, for the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival.

Paula has 3 #1s on Mediabase and Billboard and 14 Billboard Top 30 charting singles (many of which were top 10 and top 5).  

Paula was nominated “Best Artist of the year” in 2020 by the Smooth Jazz Network, as well in 2023 and 2024.

Miss Atherton has performed at such festivals as the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival, Seabreeze, Berks Jazz Fest, the Gulf Coast Jazz Festival, Low Country, Rehoboth Jazz festival, the Smooth Hot Jazz Festival in Spain and Jazz in the Algarve, in Faro, Portugal.

Paul Kares

Paul Kares is a nonprofit organization whose mission is dedicated to educating aspiring chefs or musicians, focusing on kids and young adults who show interest and passion for culinary and musical arts. Paul Kares will weave together how these passions could be the foundation for life-long career for young people who are not necessarily college-bound and how they can hone their skills to be a personal chef, sommelier, performer, or all the above. Plus, Paul Kares will get them the tools like musical instruments, knives, etc for the students who can’t afford them and will donate to school systems that need equipment for their classrooms.
