Chickpea started roller skating in May 2020 to cope with the challenges of the pandemic. Since then she has acquired SkateIA Level 1 & 2, RollRight, SafeSport certified instructor. She offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced group roller skate classes in person and online; Roller Skating Basics, Foundations in Rhythm Skating, Rhythm Skate Choreography, Roll Right learn-to-skate classes and more. Chickpea’s goals are to share the joy of skating, educate on the urban culture of skating, build the skater and instructor community, and to help make skating accessible for as many as possible globally.

Join us for Skate Oregon School’s Open Skate with our playlist 10am - 1pm Tuesday March 17, 2026 at PDX Fieldhouse Located off of SW Allen Blvd in Beaverton. registration for entry and rentals. You may bring your own gear. This is at an inline roller hockey rink with smooth sport court flooring (not the cheese grater kind). Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting out, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Enjoy the freedom of the rink and the joy of skating with friends and family. You are permitted to wear earbuds or headphones and skate to your own music provided you are aware of your surroundings and remain in control of your skates.
