Quicksand Soup is an original, high energy alternative bluegrass band based in Moab, Utah. Led by songwriter Sand Sheff, Quicksand Soup features top notch instrumental talent, five great vocalists and catchy and unique songs. They are known for putting on an exciting show, tailored to the audience. They released four CD's in 2019 celebrating bluegrass, gospel, cowboy and original American music.
Along with Sheff, who has fourteen recordings to his credit, the band includes gifted guitarist, songwriter and yodeler David Steward. Eric Jones on mandolin is a founding member of regional bluegrass band Big Timbre. Alan Snow on bass is a former member of the prestigious jazz group Caleb Capman’s Crescent Super Band. And, Tamara Freida on fiddle, shares time as a member of both the San Juan Symphony and the Phoenix Opera Orchestra.
Denny O'Brien at Inside Bluegrass.com says they have a "Refreshing Roots Sound with great western spirit". They’ve also been known to sing a song about Olathe.The Pea Green Brothers, an American comedy duo, have engaged in their own peculiar brand of stage comedy for the last five decades. Just kidding. The two-man stage show of Dean and Len (or Len and Dean, depending) have assembled for your listening enjoyment various topics of remote interest and relevance. An average person wouldn't want to miss any of the numerous topics of amusement and interest. So, seriously, attend, tune in, and listen carefully at any of the Pea Green concert.
