PERFORMANCE AWARDS !
The Performance Awards are a marvelous program unique to the AAB. It was composed by our founder Mignon Furman, whose charming choreography is the main reason why ballet schools all over America, and in many overseas countries, have incorporated the program into their schools.
The program is a delight to dance. It is a series of ballet compositions of increasing complexity. Dancers make remarkable progress in their technique, and enhance their stage presentation It is an option for dancers who are attending Summer School for longer than the Ballet Intensive weeks
extra coaching in the evenings, and perform their dances, which includes a solo dance, in the theater in the Dance Building before an audience. Parents and friends are welcome. Each dancer will receive a medal (Gold, Silver), and a certificate of achievement and stand a chance of being awarded a Scholarship to AAB Summer School 2024.
