“Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers” is a dark take on the novel by J. M. Barrie made famous by the Disney cartoon. Dealing with issues of childhood trauma, Mrs. Darling and the villainous Captain Hook are doubled, making the mother and the villain one and the same in this alternate, “adult” version of the classic children’s story. This is not the Peter Pan of your childhood.
