Join us for another film and music salon on the magical rooftop of Petit Ermitage Hotel. These evenings are a beautiful community event and ongoing collaboration between Petit Ermitage, Cheshiremoon Productions, and Blkbrd Films. Doors will open at 7:00pm where you can settle into the evening atmosphere. Grab a drink and some food and listen to live music by PJ Costello before moving to the firedeck for the screening.
Tonight's Petit Salon will feature a screening of the feature film MY DEAD DAD. MY DEAD DAD focuses on the complexities of grief and finding one's own way in the way of an estranged parent's death. The journey from idea to script to set to distribution is an admirable one we would love to share and honor. This is film is truly an example of a "just go out and do it" indie film that has now been acquired by HBO MAX. The discussion afterwards will be lead by co-host James Oliver and we hope to also dive into the current state of men's mental health and how we can heal through creation and shared mythology.
Pedro Correa, co-writer and star, has also spear-headed an incredible organization to help with the aftermath of the fires, LA FAMILY RELIEF, which we will share more information about and ways in which we can all help out.
