Since 2003, San Francisco based Petty Theft has been touring the United States performing Tom Petty’s songs true to the originals and in the spirit of the Heartbreaker’s live shows. Founded in early 2003, Petty Theft began as a classic rock cover band performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to enthusiastic audiences. It quickly became clear that the band’s true focus should be on celebrating the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Since then, Petty Theft has expanded to regular touring beyond the Bay Area and throughout multiple states, earning a reputation as one of the most sought-after Tom Petty tribute acts.
