PGH Vintage Mixer

The Mixer began in 2012  on the North Side by bringing together local collectors and small vintage businesses under one roof – creating a space to connect with vendors selling a wide variety of vintage items for all styles and budgets. Bess Dunlevy, Jason Sumney, and Michael Lutz are the founders and work together as directors and managers of the event and all associated partnerships. Over the years, the Mixer has relocated venues – all within the city of Pittsburgh – as the event and its popularity has grown and expanded. Currently, the Mixer’s large annual fall fair is held at the David L Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh. Small pop-up markets, partnered projects, and special events also are hosted throughout the year in various Pittsburgh neighborhoods – including recent events in Highland Park, Homestead and the South Side.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer has been featured in an episode of Rick Sebak’s “Nebby” Documentary Series. This 30-minute television program on WQED celebrates our region, its history, its people and some of its idiosyncrasies. The Mixer was also featured in the book:  “100 Things to do in Pittsburgh Before you Die” – by Rossilynne Culgan, has been featured on Pittsburgh Today Live, KDKA, and  in Pittsburgh Magazine’s Best of 2015 edition for “Best Mix of Local Goods.” The Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer is the best spot to fill your closet with vintage fashions, furnish your pad with unusual pieces or grab some funky unique gifts. Kitsch! Conversation! Collectibles!
