Following their celebrated debut earlier this year, Philly Street String’s second concert at the Indiana Theater will again include a variety of music selections, from classical to jazz and folk inspired compositions.
On the program: Music by G.F. Handel, Edgar Elgar, Duke Ellington, and more.
Philly Street Strings is a dynamic, new orchestra based in Indiana, PA. The ensemble, founded by violinists Stanley and Swana Chepaitis, features 12 professional string players who have performed and taught in the area for many years. Philly Street Strings is an orchestra without a conductor. Instead, all players work actively together to create fresh and vibrant performances.
