Description
Pittsburgh Free Theater Company is an experimental theater company: a process of social critique and an investigation into previously occulted forces. The Feast of the Lion-Serpent is the opening of our 2026-2027 season.
The evening opens with a new occult ritual to celebrate the Lion-Serpent in the sky. From there the company performs selections from Antonin Artaud's The Spurt of Blood and Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis alongside original work, including the premiere of a new piece of ritual dance. The evening concludes with a feast.
A note on the work: this is charged material, with staged depictions of violence, blood, and mental-health crisis. Recommended for adults. Friday, July 31, 2026. Doors 7:00 PM, performance 7:30, ending around 10:30 at the Glitterbox Theater.
