Before World War II, Poland had a thriving Jewish population. Roughly three million Polish Jews, 90% of the country’s Jewish population, were murdered in the Holocaust.
Today, younger Poles are discovering Jewish roots hidden by earlier generations for protection during the war and the Communist era that followed.
Hear four leaders share stories of the rebirth of Jewish life in Poland: Magda Dorosz, Executive Director of Hillel Poland; Maria Kos, Executive Director of JCC Warsaw; Helise Lieberman, Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Life & Learning; and Jonathan Ornstein, Executive Director of JCC Krakow.
The panel will be moderated by Holocaust scholar Dr. Michael Berenbaum, followed by a reception.
Presented in partnership with Builders of Jewish Education (BJE) and the International March of the Living
