Politics in the Pub hosts a free, public community conversation with the candidates for the seat of Brisbane.

Join Communify and the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre at Brisbane Powerhouse on Tuesday 29 April for a candidates’ forum for the key federal seat of Brisbane.

Candidates joining us include Stephen Bates, Member for Brisbane since 2022, Trevor Evans, LNP candidate and previous Member for Brisbane, and Madonna Jarrett, Labor candidate.

The panel discussion will be followed by an opportunity for the audience to pose their questions directly to the candidates.

Politics in the Pub is a volunteer run community conversation which tackles the most pressing contemporary issues for both Australia and the world.

New Farm Neighbourhood Centre, a program of Communify Queensland, has been hosting Politics in the Pub events for 2 decades with each event offering a pressing contemporary issue addressed by a panel of experts and an open conversation in which all members of the community can engage in, debate and discuss.

The event is made possible through the generous support of the Patrons of New Farm, Village Voice and Brisbane Powerhouse.

The bar will be open and the conversation will be lively. Come along, join the conversation and make your vote an informed choice.

This is a “Pay What You Wish” performance. Feel free to contribute or come along for free! Ticket registration is encouraged to secure your spot. All proceeds (minus booking fees) go to the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre.
