Description

Join Jillian at Lex Center for Creative Reuse to learn how to make polymer clay canes.  We will be making citrus cane designs for refreshing summer projects!

Polymer clay is a versatile craft supply that allows creatives to make all kinds of wonderful items.  Dip your toe into this medium with materials, guidance, and access to tools provided.  Students will make pieces to create unique handmade jewelry items..

 

Accessibility Notes

  • This class requires mobility and strength in the arms and shoulders similar to the movement of using a rolling pin in baking
  • This class requires the use of fine motor control for grasping small clay pieces and tools approximately the size of a paint brush or pencil
  • This class will involve the use of a heating implement to cure the finished pieces.  Heat protection will be provided, but caution is encouraged.
  • This class does not require previous crafting experience.
  • This class is limited to participants ages 12 and up.
