Description

Pony Gold is the project of Canadian singer-songwriter Theresa Anne Bromley, whose music lives where folk roots meet alt-country grit. Her songs are raw, tender, and unflinchingly honest, anchored by a voice that cuts straight to the heart. Shaped by her rural upbringing, years in recovery, and devotion to real storytelling, Bromley turns hard-earned truth into timeless songwriting.

Her debut album High Road Reverie, produced by Leeroy Stagger, marks a defining moment in her rise as one of Canada’s most compelling new voices. The record has been featured in Exclaim! Magazine, Tinnitist, and Americana Highways, and reached the Top 10 on the National Earshot Roots/Folk/Blues charts.

Songs from High Road Reverie have earned national radio play on CBC, ABC Country, and SiriusXM North Americana. On stage, she brings the same conviction found in her writing, delivering performances that feel both intimate and electric. Having been support for artists like Cameron Whitcomb and Chaparelle. She has performed at notable festivals including NXNE, Rifflandia, and Sunfest.

With High Road Reverie out now, Pony Gold continues to carve her place in the Americana and alt-country landscape. Her work speaks to resilience, healing, and life's lessons - proving that honesty makes the strongest kind of connection.

Like all good stories, this is a story rooted in love.

The seeds of this story were planted way back in the 1970's, when I, Lalita, moved to Kaleden and met the Hayter family. As a youth I would love, laugh, dance, sing, and play on these lands with the Hayter cousins Kris and Myron, eating Grandma Hayters cinnamon toast after school. This family would take over my heart.

Life would happen and we would lose the Hayter cousins at a young age. Grief would move my feet to travel, but eventually these feet would bring me back home to raise my own family.

To return a lifetime later to these lands and these beautiful people completes a circle in my life, full bloom.

It is my honor to be given the opportunity to operate Frog City Cafe with my husband and hold space for love, laughter, dancing, singing, and playing.

This is a love story. This is Frog City Cafe.
