Event Overview

Portals in Time: A semiannual gathering to draw inspiration from the solstice and create space for a guided personal journey into what was, what is, and what will be. 

Inspiration & Intention

Summer and Winter solstices mark the passing of time, the changing of seasons, and the renewal of cycles. As metaphorical portals or thesholds, they serve as opportune moments to reflect on what was, ground in what is, and shift our gaze to what may be. This semiannual gathering is intended to create a space to cultivate presence, clarity and intentionality as we transition into another phase of life, in community.


Session Flow & Format

>GUIDED MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS to ground in our bodies and facilitate presence.
>JOURNALING PROMPTS to foster reflection and envisioning.
>CREATIVE & PLAY-BASED ACTIVITIES to facilitate integration and embodiment.
>SHARING & CONNECTION in small groups to cultivate community and accountability.


This event series is for anyone who is…
>Yearning space for pause, presence and reflection.
>Interested in being taken on a guided journey through various mindfulness, writing and creative practices.
>Seeking clarity and recalibration.


Dates & Times (may attend one or both sessions):
1) SUMMER SOLSTICE
Thursday June 20, 2024, 7:30-9:00pm EST
Theme: Liminality - the space of transition between one stage and the next; the space between “no longer” and “not yet”.
2) WINTER SOLSTICE
Friday December 20, 2024, 7:30-9:00pm EST
Theme: Fruits of darkness - honouring the longest night of the year and the promises of the sun.
 

About the Facilitator:
Azin Soltani is a facilitator, coach, artist and certified yoga teacher. Through a pluralistic and interdisciplinary approach, she weaves together ideas, frameworks and practices to design experiences that foster presence, intentionality and a deeper connection to ourselves, each other and our broader worlds - so we may in turn create thriving and liberated lives. Her work and worldviews are inspired by an aspiration for self-actualization, authentic expression, and a recognition that we are all creative beings, creating a sequence of moments that culminate in a life.
