In this workshop, you will learn how to rescue, transport and care for possums from our most experienced rescuers and carers. 

Our focus is on the two most common species to South Australia - common brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) and common ringtail possums (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) - however the skills you learn can be applied to any possum species you encounter.

Fauna Rescue SA Members  $5     Non-Members  $25     Children under 16 years  Free

Workshops are available to existing members who have previously attended at least one workshop in person and live approximately 100km away from Fauna Rescue SA HQ. If you are a member and would like to register to attend online, please email us at training@faunarescue.com.au

Refunds policy - if you are no longer able to attend the event, please notify us as soon as possible via training@faunarescue.com.au. Refunds are available when at least 5 days notice is provided.

Food and Catering

The lunch break during the workshop is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet other like-minded people. 

Please bring your own BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH OR A PLATE TO SHARE. 

Tea, coffee and afternoon tea are provided.

Presenter Profiles

Kerrie Kelly is an advanced rescuer and carer with over than 7 years' experience working with possums. She established Fauna Rescue SA's Reuniting / Ringtail Wildling Release programs - faunarescue.org.au/reunite-possums/, and has successfully reunited more than 300 possums back into their family groups! Kerrie is deeply passionate about educating the public on the correct care of rescued possum joeys, in particular, why rescued possum joeys cannot simply be left at the base of the tree they are found. You will learn this and so much more from Kerrie!

Julie Sayer is an experienced possum rescuer and carer with over five years of hands-on involvement in possum care. While she has now stepped back from active rescuing and caring, Julie remains deeply committed to supporting Fauna Rescue SA by sharing her knowledge and passion for our beautiful, protected possum species through member education.
