This Twinning project aims to create relationships between local community groups & schools, procurers and Sussex farmers.
The idea behind the project is for farmers to link with a community setting and host farm visits to cultivate a deeper appreciation of where our food comes from. In turn the group will help support the farmer by regularly buying some of their produce.
The project is in its pilot stage and this workshop is a space for community groups & schools to share their perspectives on buying local. It’s also a place for us to learn about the kind of produce you like to eat and what would benefit you most at a farm visit.
We’re keen to support schools and community groups & schools to develop long-term sustainable relationships with local producers.
