Description

Gather & capture the beauty of Summer flowers in this hands-on workshop with Charina from Orchid & Pine Studio.

Charina will share her professional flower-pressing techniques and provide tips on working with different flowers to achieve stunning results. Participants will harvest and press their own flowers with guidance.

Then we will create a personalized floral card to apply more techniques of the craft.

We'll be covering:

• The tools that actually work
  What to use, what to skip, and how to set up your pressing kit for real results.

• Timing your harvest
  The ideal window to pick flowers so they hold their color and form after pressing.

• Preventing browning
  Proven techniques to keep blooms vibrant — not muddy or discolored.

• Getting the best from your press
  Pressure, paper choices, layering, and how to troubleshoot what goes wrong

Traditional flower presses will be provided for use during the event, and personal presses will be available for purchase if you'd like to invest in your new craft. You may also bring your own press!

  - Pack of professional blotting paper
  - Pressed floral craft

• Additional you-pick bouquets may be purchased after class if you would like more flowers to enjoy fresh.

• Wear a hat, bring water and enjoy a morning in the flower field with us!

• Only legitimate service animals allowed.

• Children under the age of 12 may not use snips.

• Port-a-loo on site.
