Description

Join Sugarloaf staff, Desi Harp as we honor and celebrate the indigenous voices and stories of the area.  We start with an approximately 2-mile evening walk followed by campfire storytelling and singing at the group camp highlighting some of the native people of the Mayacamas Mountains.

This event celebrates the first annual California State Parks Week, (June 14-18) presented by California State Parks, Save the Redwoods League, Parks California and the California State Parks Foundation. Through special community events and in-person and virtual programming, this inaugural event celebrates California’s 279 state parks and the people who visit and help protect these iconic places.

Our meeting point will be the White Barn. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, layers, and if desired, a snack and something to sit on. The event is free but requires registration. Parking fees apply.
