A COMMUNITY CLAY "PAY WHAT YOU WISH" EVENT
Celebrate PRIDE through creativity and clay. Join us for a special workshop where you'll craft a personalized mug that reflects you!
Whether you want to showcase your pride, tell a story, or simply explore your artistic side, this workshop is all about celebrating identity in all its beautiful forms.
No experience with clay is necessary — just bring your imagination and an open heart. All skill levels are welcome. A teacher will guide you in a fun, affirming space. All materials included. Your finished mug will be dipped in a clear, food-safe glaze.
This Project is supported in part by an award from the RiNo Art District and is pay-what-you-wish. $10 minimum. The workshop is geared towards members of the 🌈 community. All identities and expressions welcome.
This class takes place at 3349 Blake St. on Sunday, June 8, 5-7pm.
ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Alex has been doing pottery for over 10 years - he started with wheel throwing, then transitioned into handbuilding, and now finds new ways to alter and incorporate both styles. He has studied and taught at multiple studios on the East Coast prior to moving to Denver in the spring of 2022.
He uses his "day job" skills in training, development, and coaching as a wheel and handbuilding teacher at Community Clay.
Handbuilding is a traditional method of creating with clay and does not include use of the potter's wheel. Learn more about handbuilding
Workshops are non-refundable. Please read our FAQs.
