Description

Every night after work, Kenneth meets his best friend Bert for mai tais at Wally's, his favorite tiki bar. It's a simple life — but it's his. Then, without warning, Kenneth loses the only job he's ever known and is forced out into a world he's spent his whole life quietly avoiding. What happens next is funny, heartbreaking, and completely unexpected.

Winner of the 2024 Pulitzer Prize, Eboni Booth's quietly powerful play asks what it really means to be lonely in a world where we're more connected than ever — and explores the delicate, often surprising ways we find our way to one another. At a time when so many of us are craving real connection, Primary Trust is the kind of story that reminds you why we go to the theater.

Don't miss Crescent City Stage's Regional Premiere — performing for three weekends only at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans in the heart of the Warehouse District. This is the only place in New Orleans you can see it, and it won't be here long.

Directed by Michael A. Newcomer and starring Jarrod Smith as Kenneth, along with Doug Spearman, Nicole Collins, Mark Crosby and musician Steve Gilliland.
