Please note an update to our Covid policy, starting for events after October 1, 2021. The Robert Ferguson Observatory will require proof of Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test (completed within 72 hours) for events starting after 10/1. The good news is that implementing this policy will enable us to open more of our scopes to the public and deliver presentations indoors in our classroom. Masks will still be required indoors or in areas where social distancing is not possible. This policy does not apply to children that are too young to be vaccinated. Proof can be in the form of a vaccination card or a picture of one. Please be advised that there is no cell service up at Sugarloaf so please make sure you don’t need to get online to an app or website in order to show proof. Thank you in advance for abiding to these policies and keeping our volunteers and visitors safe!
Join us for our traditional public star party with presentations in our classroom and our three telescopes open for viewing, in addition to smaller scopes set up outside!
You MUST have a ticket to attend this event. Attendance is limited and, while remaining tickets will be sold at the door, they will be subject to availability. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and cannot be used for future events.
