Growing tobacco since the mid-1600s, the Dixon Family Farm was established in 1881. and recognized as a Maryland Century Farm. Using biodynamic farming practices, we now grow acres of lavender, wine grapes, cut flowers, wildflowers, vegetables, herbs, and a variety of botanicals we use in our farm-made soaps and other products. We harvest and distill lavender and other botanicals every summer and use steam distillation to produce high-quality essential oils. - Professional Photos with Violet the Goat - Make your fall memories extra special with an adorable photo alongside Violet, a friendly rescue goat! Pose in a festive, autumn-themed setting and let our professional photographer capture the moment. Violet lives at a neighboring farm, Summerseat Farm, a nonprofit dedicated to caring for rescue animals. Donations are warmly welcomed to help support veterinary care and ongoing rescue efforts.
