Celebrate the World with Putumayo at a joyful mini-festival taking place at The Broadside in New Orleans on January 25th from 1 to 6pm. It will be a vibrant afternoon in a magical outdoor venue that is guaranteed to make you feel good!   Doors 1pm.  Folk Alliance conference badge holders and kids 12 and under enter for free.

Performers include Senegalese rising star Cheikh Ibra Fam, Cape Breton Mi’kmak fiddler-vocalist Morgan Toney, Cuban singer-songwriter Niuver, New Orleans favorites Sabertooth Swing and global folk explorers Ley Line. Together, they promise an uplifting musical journey that reflects Putumayo’s long-standing mission of celebrating the world through music.


Enjoy a Putumayo DJ spinning feel-good global grooves, delicious offerings from local food vendors, and family-friendly surprises throughout the day.

FAQ

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
  • We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  • Our outdoor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. If you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
