Description
Covering four centuries of Italian music, Associate Music Director Gonzalo Ruiz leads an all-star ensemble in this unique and timeless concert that highlights two female Italian composers, Francesca Caccini and Isabella Leonarda together with the music of Vivaldi and Rossini. Spanning the 17th, 18th and 19 centuries, the program concludes with 20th century movie themes from The Godfather and Fellini’s 8 ½ .
Quattrocento "Four Centuries of Italian Music" will be performed in the Sanctuary of the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles at 3:00 PM. Following the concert, patrons are invited to a hosted reception in the Shatto. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
