Description
Darcy (Dev Patel) and Daphne (Rosy McEwen) Davenport have left London in search of creative renewal, settling into an isolated cottage deep in the Welsh countryside. When Darcy stumbles upon a strange “faerie circle” emitting an unearthly frequency, he brings it back to their recordings. Soon after, an otherworldly child (Jade Croot) appears, insinuating himself into their home. Alternately ingratiating and unsettling, the boy exposes unacknowledged rifts and long-buried secrets that begin to unravel the Davenports’ lives.
Premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival (Midnight section), Rabbit Trap is produced by SpectreVision (Mandy, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) and Mad As Birds Films (The Vanishing). With an evocative score by Lucrecia Dalt and atmospheric sound design by Graham Reznick, the film is a haunting descent into psychological and supernatural terror.
