Description

Kabbalat Shabbat at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue (30 West 68th St.)

Dinner at Gazala’s (447 Amsterdam Ave.)

Join other young adults in their 20s and 30s for Kabbalat Shabbat at Stephen Wise at 6:00 p.m. — featuring a sermon by Amplify Israel’s Rabbi Tracy Kaplowitz.

After services, we’ll head to Gazala’s for a vegetarian dinner, where owner and chef Gazala Halabi will share her story as a member of Israel’s Arabic-speaking Druze community and introduce us to its culture, traditions and distinctive cuisine.

Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner. Walk-ins are not permitted.

The Reform Movement Alumni for Israel (RAFI) is a new leadership program designed to deepen young adults' commitment to Israel and the Jewish people through meaningful travel, learning and social experiences.

This program is made possible thanks to grants from the JNF Boruchin Center and The Natan Fund.
