Learn how rain barrels can help contribute to a more sustainable local ecosystem, and learn to build your own rain barrel. Make a barrel and take it home ready to use.
Barrel and Education only: You will receive a list of supplies to purchase on your own, plus a reclaimed barrel free of charge.
Barrel, Education, and Completion Kit with guided instruction: In addition to receiving the free reclaimed barrel we provide all the supplies, tools and on-site instruction for you to complete your rain barrel and take it home ready for installation.
Participants who sign up for the guided instruction will be asked to use hand tools to complete their project. Assistance will be provided for steps involving power tools.
This workshop is offered in partnership with the Muncie Sanitary District with special thanks to Waste Management and Recycling Superintendent Jason Donati.
Recommended for ages 16+ Ages 13+ may register if accompanied by a registered adult. All supplies will be provided. No prior skills or experience is necessary.
