Sharavathi Kannada Balaga
From "Kannadigas to Kannadigasβ is a non-profit organization for people that hail from the Karnataka state of India, and for those who can speak the Kannada language. Sharavathi Kannada Balaga derives its name from the Sharavathi River that flows in its entirety in Karnataka.
According to ancient legends, the birth of the Sharavathi River took place when God Ramaβs arrow hit the ground to quench Goddess Sitaβs thirst. Similarly, the primary goal of Sharavathi Kannada Balaga is to provide a platform that quenches the thirst of Kannadigas across the USA to socialize with other Kannadigas, unearth talents, and promote our cultural and social heritage to the next generation of Kannadigas.
Keeping this vision, Sharavathi Kannada Balagaβs aim is to conduct and broadcast recurring events where Kannadigas all over the world can get to watch and participate in these cultural events. The events will have a few segments ranging from singing, dancing, dramas, speeches, interviews, etc. This is a new initiative and looking forward to supporting all Kannadigas in the USA.
