Description
A combination workshop featuring Stannous Chloride fuming and Obvara firing.
Traditional Raku firing using several glazes along with naked and horse hair opportunities.
Saggar firing uses different chemicals and fuming materials spread across aluminum foil or placed directly on the wares. Once wrapped in the foil, the pieces are loaded into a barrel kiln with wood and other combustibles then lit ablaze for approximately 2-3 hours.
Both techniques are fun and produce beautiful finishes.
Participants are allow to bring 6 pieces that measure no larger than 8" x 8". All Glazing material and equipment will be provided.
Must be at least 18 years old.
2 tickets will be available for participants 16-17 yrs old accompanied by a parent at $202.50. This will include 6 pieces for the 2 combined participants.
