Rat Day is back for Part 2 and we’re getting crafty!
Join Tangle of Thorns Art + Stem Rochester on Saturday, October 24th for a full day of strange, creative fun featuring two hands-on experiences: Taxidermy Rat Decorating and Plushie Rat Decorating!
Choose your adventure and join us for one of four 2-hour workshop sessions, or grab a To-Go option to create at home.
🐀 Taxidermy Rat Workshop
Join Tangle of Thorns Art to transform your very own professionally prepared taxidermy rat into a tiny, Halloween-ready, costumed creation! Your ticket includes one ethically sourced taxidermy rat, a themed costume kit, and access to an assortment of miniature props, accessories, and embellishments to make your rat uniquely yours.

Each costume kit includes the pieces needed to create your selected look. During the workshop, you'll also have access to additional props and embellishments to personalize your rat and put your own spin on its costume.
Taxidermy Rat Workshop sessions are limited to 12 participants per time slot.
Recommended for ages 13+. Participants under 16 must attend with a participating adult. Each person creating a rat must have their own ticket.
🧸 Plushie Workshop
Prefer your critters a little softer? Join Stem Rochester for a 2-hour hands-on plushie rat decorating experience!
Your ticket includes one rat stuffie plus access to a “charcuterie board” filled with all sorts of goodies and everything you'll need to decorate and customize your new friend. Pick your favorites, get creative, and leave with a one-of-a-kind stuffie made by you!
Plushie Workshop sessions are limited to 6 participants per time slot.

Want to join the fun but can't stay for a 2-hour workshop? Both experiences are available as To-Go options!
🐀 Taxidermy Rat To-Go: Take the taxidermy experience home! Your kit includes one ethically sourced, professionally prepared taxidermy rat, your selected themed costume kit, and a curated assortment of miniature props, accessories, and embellishments for decorating your rat at home. Choose from Witch, Vampire, Pirate, or Ghost when purchasing your ticket.
🧸 Plushie To-Go: Tell Stem your vibe, and they'll take it from there! You'll receive one stuffie plus a mystery bag of decorating supplies curated especially for you. Open it up at home to discover your surprise assortment of goodies and create your new friend on your own time.
To-Go tickets do not include workshop instruction or seating.
