Description
Important Notes:
You MUST Register Here to attend. SMRPD is not charging for this event, but $90 per dog (Cash, Check to "Natural Solutions", Zelle or Venmo - no Credit Cards) will be charged by the dog trainers, Natural Solution, at the door. A portion of the proceeds from each dog will be donated back to SMRPD.
You MUST Print and Bring a filled out copy of this linked Training Form
Dogs should be at least 6 months old (5-7month old dog will be evaluated just to make sure each is developmentally mature enough -- if not ready no charge but no training)
This class works by introducing your dog to both juvenile and adult LIVE, SAFELY-MUZZLED rattlesnakes of the species found in your area. Trainers will use a remote training collar to provide a perfectly-timed low-level stimulation that your dog will associate with the rattlesnake. This will effectively enable your dog to detect the sights, sounds and smells of rattlesnakes and create the reflex for your dog to quickly move away and avoid them.
Training sessions are recommended 1x/year for 3-4 consecutive years.
