REDS June Workshops - Archived

Description

Join REDS on June 18th for our last workshop of our 2021-2022 dance season.  We will be taking a two-month break and will be back in September for a BIG fiesta!  We will be offering more workshops for this event.  You will be able to select several classes for a discounted rate.  Families are welcome!  If you have younger kids you don't want to leave at home, you are more than welcome to bring them as long they will entertain themselves or join the class.  As always, our event is BYOB.  

TICKETS:  We have several options to choose from.  You can simply sign up for one class or all of them!  If you want to take more than one class and that option is not available, please give us a call or email and we will send you an invoice.

SCHEDULE

5 PM - 6 PM  ~  PARTNERING 101  ~  This class is to teach the foundation of partner dancing.  Whether your goal is to Country dance, Latin dance, or simply lead/follow with any partner on the dance floor, this is THE CLASS to get started!  REDS has taught many couples to feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor.

6:15 PM - 7 PM  ~  SALSA BASICS  ~  This class is targeted toward dancers who have never danced Salsa and have always wanted to, who are still at a beginner level, or to refresh their Salsa skills.  

7 PM - 7:30 PM  ~  BACHATA BASICS  ~  Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is a sensual and soulful dance that brings energy to the dance floor. It incorporates heavy hip-swaying and primarily focuses on lower body movements to add passion to the dance. Bachata dancing has four basic steps that repeat, which makes it easy to learn for beginners!  This class is geared towards beginners who are still at a beginner level.  

7:30 PM - 8:30 PM  ~ LATIN PATTERNS ~  This is a new class Ramon and Elena are offering for this last workshop for Beginner - Intermediate/Advanced dancers.  We have had so many great dancers throughout this last year and we want to give you all something you can use to keep improving your dancing.  We will be showing you a Latin Fusion pattern (a mixture of different Latin Dances) to take home and hopefully use when you are out and about or dancing in your living room!  

8:30 PM - 10 PM ~ SOCIAL DANCING ~ You are invited to use the dance floor at no cost!  The Social Dancing hours are included when you purchase any ticket.  Donations are appreciated and can be collected under the Social Dancing ticket.
