Description

The REFRAMING Cinema Film Festival (RCFF) was born out of necessity—an urgent response to the ongoing lack of opportunities, funding, and platforms for filmmakers of color. Too often, our stories are told through an outsider’s lens, misrepresented, or left untold. RCFF was created to reclaim that narrative and provide a dedicated space where minority voices are not just included but celebrated and prioritized.

As a first-year festival, RCFF is more than just a new event—it is the start of a movement to reshape how films by Black, Creole, Indigenous, and other underrepresented creatives are seen, valued, and distributed. By providing a stage for authentic storytelling across genres, RCFF aims to challenge the status quo, elevate new perspectives, and cultivate a thriving ecosystem of minority filmmakers and artists. This is just the beginning, and we expect RCFF to continue growing year after year, expanding its reach and impact within the film industry.
