Description
Rena Branson (she/they) is a Jewish musician and ritual leader who uplifts personal and collective healing through song. This summer, Rena is teaming up with Pushcart Judaica to offer a ✨Music and Makers Tour✨ — a chance to come together in song and craft, celebrate regional Jewish arts and culture, and support artisans creating ritual items across Turtle Island. These popup concerts and markets will be in Durham on 7/13, Asheville on 7/17, Atlanta on 7/20, and Nashville on 7/24.
Concert Details:
Inspired by the words “p’tach libi b’toratecha” (open my heart to Your teaching), Rena’s music asks: what are we being invited to learn, grow, and heal in this moment? In a participatory space, community members are welcome to sing along, to listen more deeply, and to replenish our energy for the vital work of transformation in ourselves and the world. Rena shares original songs that weave together Jewish liturgy with new English poetry and prayers for healing, along with devotional Hasidic melodies from her family’s lineage. All voices are welcome.
