Description

York College of Pennsylvania, in partnership with Weary Arts Group, presents RENT, by Jonathan Larson, is a groundbreaking rock musical. It follows a group of impoverished young artists in New York City's East Village as they navigate love, loss, and the AIDS epidemic, loosely adapting Puccini's opera La Bohème for a modern, bohemian setting. The show became a cultural phenomenon, known for its rock score and themes of living for today, finding connection, and overcoming fear.
