Then after a short intermission, stay and boogie on the dance floor for a second set of some Eclectic Upbeat Funky Music played by our own local 20-piece community ensemble. The multi-award winning North Fork Valley Community & Parade Band, founded and directed by Jeannette Carey and David Alderdice, was formed in 2015 as a way to get local music students and community members of mixed ages and experience levels playing, rehearsing and performing stylistically diverse selections of fun music together. Their repertoire consists mainly of big band swing music as well as funk, rock, latin and groovy traditional and modern tunes from around the world.
