Joshua House Recovery Ministries invites you to an evening of real stories, renewed hope, and lives being rebuilt. Our annual Restoring Hope | Rebuilding Lives Gala returns this November, gathering community leaders, businesses, churches, and friends who believe that change is possible and worth investing in.
And this year, there is a lot to celebrate.
Joshua House now serves more than 100 men in recovery across the Fraser Valley. This fall, that work is expanding with a new recovery house in Mission, our fourth In-Care home and another important step in creating a continuum of care where men can move from crisis toward stability, community, and a life beyond addiction.
At the same time, something new is taking shape at The Creek, where many men begin their recovery journey.
Following a summer pilot involving 41 men, Joshua House is launching a renewed recovery program designed around the whole person: body, mind, community, and soul. The new twelve-week program strengthens the foundations that have long defined Joshua House while adding deeper learning around addiction, trauma, relapse prevention, healthy relationships, and the practices that sustain recovery.
At the centre of it all is something we have learned again and again: community is the cure. Recovery is not something a man does alone. It happens as men learn to show up, tell the truth, take responsibility, support one another, and discover that their lives can become part of something bigger.
You may recognize Joshua House from the Abbotsford Airshow. The yellow shirts are hard to miss. Behind those shirts are men learning to contribute, work together, and take pride in what they can offer their community. It is not just volunteerism. It is formation.
This year’s Gala will bring those stories to the surface. Men who once lived in chaos are rebuilding families, careers, relationships, and purpose. Families who once carried fear are beginning to hope again. These are not polished stories. They are honest ones. And they carry weight.
