Welcome to the AHOW first ever Men’s retreat. I am excited that after many years of wishing and talking, we get to put together the first ever men’s retreat. What is happening this weekend is very historic and those of us here are part of history. Gathering men together for an extended period of time for a spiritual activity like praying, study and fellowshipping is a major challenge for most churches. It is much easier for men to make out time for golf, bowling and cookout than for spiritual event. This tells us how much the enemy is wining the battle over men.
Men who have the most responsibilities and on whose many lives depend on their lives and actions are the least likely to take care of their spirit and soul. This is the tragedy of men today. I am grateful we are able to forge a new path in AHOW.
Every session in this retreat is designed for a divine encounter and should be taken seriously regardless of who is speaking or what’s going on. God is here, and He is in the business of meeting needs. Please bear in mind that we are only here for 48 hours; hence make sure to seize every opportunity this retreat offers to seek God passionately and purposefully. Your goal here is to do more than scratching the surface that we do
every Sunday to to reach deeper into the Spirit by surrendering yourself totally to God.
