Description

As we prepare to release the burdens of 5786, let’s fulfill the mitzvah of Bal Tashchit, the prohibition against needless waste and destruction. During Tashlich, we cast our sins and pain into the water. Reverse Tashlich invites us to remove the “sins” created by humans that harm water and its surroundings.

This High Holy Day season, Rodeph Sholom and Central Synagogue are partnering again to bring social action and purification to Central Park. As we begin a new year, we’ll honor one of the green spaces that most nourishes us as New Yorkers.
