━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Last year, we fulfilled our wish to produce concert versions of rarely-produced musicals with our production of Applause, the musical based on All About Eve.

It was such a success, that we knew we were onto something and had to keep going.

This summer, with support from the Ferndale Arts Commission, we will present the classic counter-culture musical Hair with music by Galt MacDermot and book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado.

Featuring a cast of 22 and with only 6 rehearsals, Hair will play for 4 performances at The Ringwald.

Showtimes for Hair will be August 8-11, 2025 (Friday, Saturday, and Monday at 7:00 p.m., Sunday at 3:00 p.m.)

Tickets for Hair will be $30.00 for Fri-Sun shows, and  $20.00 for the Monday performance.

PLEASE NOTE: Hair will contain nudity.

The Ringwald Theatre

The Ringwald's mission is to engage diverse audiences through fresh, risk-taking theatrical experiences. Seasons will include productions focusing primarily on newer works, previously un-produced scripts, and innovative interpretations of seasoned classics.

The Ringwald opened our doors to our Ferndale location at 9 Mile & Woodward in May of 2007 with Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy and quickly became a mainstay of Detroit’s theatre community.

In a newly-formed partnership with Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center, The Ringwald will open their new home inside the center in the fall of 2021 after temporarily shutting its doors at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite a successful 14 year residency on Woodward and 9 mile.
