Description

This play explores themes of resistance, the pain of displacement, cultural memory, and the power of family, as well as the concept of homeland. The main character, Alia, grapples with her father’s diagnosis of dementia, which prompts her memories of her homeland to resurface as she seeks to answer critical questions: Why do we need to know where we are from? What is home without land? This one-woman show weaves together stories from Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Russia and Israel.
