Description
Continue your NYC adventures with Rabbi Karol to a matinée performance of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. James McAvoy leads a superb ensemble in this “breathtakingly exciting” theatrical tour-de-force that captures timeless passion through spoken word, contemporary poetry, and raw physicality. This is not a show you'll want to miss!
We will meet at CRS at 1:30 PM and take a bus to Brooklyn together for the show. Spots are limited to 14 people. $118 per ticket, includes round trip bus ride and show. This is for CRS members only.
About Cyrano de Bergerac
Hercule Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac, a cadet (nobleman serving as a soldier) in the French Army, is a brash, strong-willed man of many talents. In addition to being a remarkable duelist, he is a gifted, joyful poet and is also a musical artist. However, he has an obnoxiously large nose, which causes him to doubt himself. This doubt prevents him from expressing his love for his distant cousin, the beautiful and intellectual Roxane, as he believes that his ugliness would prevent him the "dream of being loved by even an ugly woman."
