Description

We get started in understanding balance in posture to stay upright in skating. We’ll learn bubbles/swizzles, strides, turns & transitions, and a variety of stops. This class will help you learn how to skate with a focus on safety and control skating both forwards and backwards. The whole group will be working on the same skills focus. Each Class will be different and we will not be keeping track.

Skate Oregon School

Chickpea started roller skating in May 2020 to cope with the challenges of the pandemic. Since then she has acquired SkateIA Level 1 & 2,  RollRight, SafeSport certified instructor. She offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced group roller skate classes in person and online; Roller Skating Basics, Foundations in Rhythm Skating, Rhythm Skate Choreography, Roll Right learn-to-skate classes and more. Chickpea’s goals are to share the joy of skating, educate on the urban culture of skating, build the skater and instructor community, and to help make skating accessible for as many as possible globally.
