ROOTED: A Tasting of Place + Terroir
Great wine begins in the ground.
Join us for a free wine tasting at The Bighorn as we explore one of the things that makes wine so fascinating: terroir—the idea that you can actually taste where a wine comes from.
For Rooted, we’ve selected five wines that we think are particularly expressive of place. These are wines whose character is unmistakably shaped by their surroundings—from the sun-drenched hills of Sicily and steep slopes of the Mosel to Austria’s Carnuntum, the limestone-rich Jura, and the rugged landscape of Washington State.

C.H. Berres Estate Old Vines Riesling — Mosel, Germany
Grassl Carnuntum Zweigelt Classic — Carnuntum, Austria
Domaine Overnoy-Crinquand Arbois-Pupillin Trousseau — Jura, France
Pursued By Bear Bear Cub Red Blend — Washington, USA
Taste your way through five dramatically different places and discover how soil, climate, elevation, exposure and landscape can leave their fingerprints in the glass.
The tasting is FREE and runs from 4–8PM. Come anytime, taste at your own pace, and stay for a glass or a bite. Our full menu of wine, beer and food will also be available for purchase.
Rooted is being hosted in conjunction with Anaconda Yoga Fest, but you certainly don't need to be a yogi to join us. Yogis, wine lovers, wine-curious, and everyone in between are welcome!
