Literary Festival & Conference
Description
Roundtable by the Sea brings creative writers, book lovers, and educators to the iconic seaside town of Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, to celebrate all things literary. Attendees will enjoy three and a half days of literary events and conference presentations, as well as literary-themed special offerings at businesses throughout St. Andrews. The Dunn Theatre at the Fundy Discovery Aquarium is the primary venue for headlining events, with additional events at other locations in town.
Featured authors include Elamin Abdelmahmoud, Donna Jones Alward, Renée Belliveau, Mark Blagrave, Lana Button, Teri Kingston, Sue Sinclair, and more. Events include onstage conversations between authors, readings and Q&As, book signings, panels, workshops, and more. An event-long book fair will offer attendees the opportunity to connect with independent presses, authors, and other literary- and literacy-focused organizations.
Roundtable by the Sea seeks to highlight and celebrate diverse voices and to encourage conversation and reflection on how literature helps build community. The inaugural theme is Wonder, Possibility, and Community: Literature in an Age of Polycrisis.
